Comparison of the effect of the intracameral lidocaine anesthesia and subconjunctival lidocaine anesthesia on the development of intraoperative floppy-iris syndrome in cataract surgery

Aim: To evaluate the effect of intracameral lidocaine anesthesia (ILA) and subconjunctival (SLA) administered during cataract surgery on development prevalence intraoperative floppy iris syndrome (IFIS). 
 Material Method: The study involved medical records 86 patients having no risk factors other than small pupil size for IFIS whom ILA and/or SLA were applied phacoemulsification surgery. While 45 (1%), 41 in group (2%). Floppy findings such as billowing, incarceration wound site, or progressive myosis, if any, recorded. groups compared terms development. Results: ratio was 33.7% group, it 17.1% (p=0.084). Patients with smaller diameter observed a higher rate ( when threshold value 6.5 mm p=0.011 6 p=0.009).
 Conclusion: During surgery, surgeons should care diameters. However, use has not been determined.
